This video was produced by me in January 2010 describing the potential danger of cyclists getting hurt when descending from Ayer Itam Dam. The video clip also showed the loose sand that was visible on the surface of the road due to cable installation along the whole stretch of road from Ayer Itam market to the dam.
The road leading to dam now has improved and thanks for YB Wong Hon Wai who immediately looked into the issue when the video first aired in Malaysiakini in Jan 2010. And I hope that the TM and the reservoir authorities will continue to maintain and improve the road condition for the benefit of cyclists and hikers.
